// Self-hosted · BYOC · zero lock-in

Your cloud. Your control.
Self-host dev & deploy.

A self-hosted platform to develop and ship on your own infrastructure. Isolated cloud IDE workers, one-click Docker deploys, custom domains and TLS — all running on compute you own. European, sovereign, no lock-in.

Why self-host with Spunto

The whole loop — on infrastructure you own.

Most cloud IDEs and PaaS tools hold your code hostage. Spunto flips it: you bring the compute, we bring build, ship, and run.

Runs on compute you own

Plug in Google Cloud, Hetzner, or a bare server you already have. Workers and deploys spawn on your nodes — Spunto never holds your source or your data.

Full cloud IDE, in seconds

Isolated, devcontainer-native workspaces with code-server built in. Open a ready-to-code environment in your browser — for you or for your AI agents.

Ship to prod on the same box

Deploy Docker services next to your dev workers — custom domains, automatic TLS, pre-deploy hooks. One platform for build, ship, and run.

Zero lock-in, EU by design

Standard devcontainers and plain Docker — nothing proprietary to trap you. European infrastructure, sovereign by default. Leave whenever you want.

From zero to shipped

Three steps, all on your compute.

01

Connect your compute

Link a cloud account or your own server in a couple of clicks. Spunto provisions nothing you don't own.

$ spunto node connect hetzner
02

Spawn a worker

An isolated, devcontainer-based workspace boots on your least-loaded node — code-server ready in the browser.

→ worker ready in 15s
03

Ship it live

Promote the same environment to production — custom domain, TLS, logs and stats — on the machines you control.

$ spunto ship ./service

Sovereign by design

Nothing leaves your network.

Self-hosting should mean self-owned. Spunto is built so the sensitive parts never touch us.

You keep the keys

Credentials, secrets, and source stay on your infrastructure.

Standard Docker

Devcontainer-spec compatible — no proprietary runtime to escape.

Your git, your rules

Bring GitHub, GitLab, or a self-hosted remote. Nothing forced.

Data residency

Pick the region and provider. European hosting, sovereign by default.

Questions

Self-hosting, answered.

Q.Is Spunto really self-hosted?

Yes. With Bring-Your-Own-Compute (BYOC) your dev workers and production deploys run on nodes you own — a cloud account or a bare server. Spunto orchestrates them; your code and data never leave your infrastructure.

Q.What can I run on it?

Anything that runs in a container. Isolated dev environments (a self-hosted cloud IDE with code-server), plus Docker services shipped to production with custom domains and automatic TLS.

Q.Is there vendor lock-in?

No. Spunto is built on the open devcontainer spec and plain Docker. There's nothing proprietary holding your workloads — you can walk away with standard artifacts at any time.

Q.How much does it cost?

Free during the beta — no per-seat billing, no metered compute, no credit card. You only pay your own infrastructure provider.
